Shudder Speed
Last night, Robin and I went storm chasing. She is only in town for a short period of time, so we enjoyed spending most of the evening together. Since she loves to take pictures, it was an adventure to be with her when the sky was storm-colored and calling her name. She drives fast, but we slowed and pulled over outisde of the southwest part of Abilene, and she stood on top of her truck to set up the tripod. We stopped for a minute and drove for two. Stop, drive, stop, drive, stop! A couple of times, she wanted to stop on the highway on dangerous bridges. Thank the Lord that we finally ended up on a shoot off an access road near a sunflower field. In the distance, we could see the lightening come down... the sky was pink and dark and swirling. It was like heaven held a disco party. The strobe-light lightening consumed Robin's attention, and I focused a little closer to the ground. I took many negative and posterized images of the sunflowers and weeds.
After we had thoroughly introduced ourselves to the local mosquitos, we decided to finish the evening. As Robin climbed into the driver's seat, a smelly, skinny, rabid-looking cat jumped into her lap. After petting and baby talking the cat, she literally had to "help" the cat fly out of her window. Ha! He really wanted to play with Robin, and I can see why... she is a lot of fun to be around!

Hey girl! I love your entries! I love how reflective they are, and the little window we get to see into your lives as we read them! Keep em up! And remember that they are first and foremost for your own development.
It was great talking with you the other night. Hope your day is going well. Talk to you later!
